What are processors responsible for?

     
            We all recognize CPU, the central processing unit as the brain of a computer. CPU is also referred as a processor. The "processor" word itself tells that it does carry out process.

        The processors are located on the motherboard. The processors actually execute all the programs requested by the user. The processor in our mobile phones run many processes at a time. The processes can be web browsing, a call, a game or anything. The processors have cores which run and execute the instructions. A processor may be single core-dual core-quad core-hexa core-octa core. In present, in the market the mobile phones with quad core and octa core are available. When you operate your smartphone, and you are playing a game then one core of the processor is involved in running that game. Sometimes even you are listening to music and playing a game or surfing over web. At that time multiple cores are helpful.

     Is octa core processor more powerful than a quad core?

      It is not so that a mobile phone with octa core is more faster than the one with a quad core. Because it depends upon the usage. It depends upon that, how much processes are running at a time. The single processor can run less programs at a time than the multi core processor. So, the processor with more cores is better than the one with less cores.

              Things to remember while buying a device!
             
                  While buying any device you should always take care about your usage. If you use your device for many purposes you should go with at least a quad core processor. You may be purchasing a mobile phone or a tablet or a laptop or a PC, according to my recommendation it should be at least quad core. Because nowadays it is required. If you are a gamer than you can go with even high end processors.
